Callaway built the Elyte Max Fast for women whose swings do not generate much speed, and it does that job well. Shots launch high, mishits hold their line, and forgiveness earns its best score. Shaping shots is another matter.
What's new
This women's set sits at the high-launch end of Callaway's 2025 Elyte family. Its Speed Frame construction wraps a stiff body around a face that flexes at impact, so more of the swing reaches the ball.
Callaway tunes the Ai10x Face for ball speed and tight dispersion across the hitting area. Stock shafts are Callaway's RCH in a ladies flex. Pricing lands at the top of the women's iron market, which puts it in flagship territory.
How it plays
Nobody has robot-tested this women's model yet. Its scores lean on how the wider Elyte line performed for launch and forgiveness, plus Callaway's placement of the Max Fast as the highest launcher in the family.
Forgiveness scores highest, at 8.8, with distance close behind at 8.3. Accuracy (8.0) and feel (8.1) sit in solid mid-pack territory. For a golfer who struggles to get long irons airborne, launch matters more than any of those numbers, and Callaway designed this set to stop approach shots on the green.
Where it lacks
Workability, our measure of how easily you can curve a shot on purpose, scores 6.3. That puts it near the bottom of its class. A head tuned this hard for launch resists a deliberate draw or fade, and the scoring clubs give up some control for the same reason.
Faster swingers are outside the brief. Value comes in at 7.8, below most of its other marks, because the set costs as much as anything in the women's category.
“If getting the ball up is the struggle, this set fixes it. Just do not ask it to curve shots.”- The Club Stand gear team
Reasons to buy
- Speed Frame pairs a stiff body with a flexible face, so more of the swing turns into ball speed
- Ai10x Face keeps ball speed up and dispersion tight on strikes away from the center
- Highest launch in the Elyte line gets long irons up without a fast swing
Reasons to think twice
- Big head and high launch suit moderate swing speeds, so faster swingers sit outside its design brief
- Fast, high-launch tuning gives up control in the scoring clubs, and shot shaping trails its class
- Sits at the top of the women's iron set market on price
