Every Quantum fairway wood shares one face. The Triple Diamond takes that face, moves the weight forward and strips out spin. Fast swingers who balloon their 3-wood will like the flight. Anyone who sprays it should look elsewhere.
What's new
The Triple Diamond sits at the low-spin end of Callaway's 2026 Quantum family. It uses the Speed Wave 2.0 face from the rest of the line, a Step Sole, and an OptiFit4 hosel for adjusting loft and lie, with heads at 15, 18 and 21 degrees.
Callaway prices it below the Max and Max D, and well under the Max Fast. That makes the most demanding head in the family also one of its cheapest, and the savings can go toward a shaft fitted to a quick swing.
How it plays
Low spin justifies the purchase. In one 2026 test it spun at 2,323 rpm with a 10.6-degree launch, second-lowest in the field behind the Qi4D Tour, and carried 256 yards at 152.3 mph of ball speed. Distance scores 8.7, its best mark.
Feel and workability both score 8.2, so a good player can shape it and still get a solid sensation at impact. Accuracy lands at 7.9, a fair number that hides a wider problem once the robot gets involved.
Where it lacks
A second test, run at a slower 132.3 mph ball speed, measured a shot area of 4,377, the worst of its top 10. Forgiveness scores 7.5, and the forward CG offers little help when contact drifts toward the toe or heel.
This head also launches and lands lower than other low-spin woods. Players without much speed will watch shots fall out of the air early and give back the carry they paid for.
“If your fairway wood climbs and stalls, this one stays down. Just hit the middle of it.”- The Club Stand gear team
Reasons to buy
- Spin came in second-lowest of the 2026 fairway wood test, so the ball bores through instead of climbing
- Speed Wave 2.0 face and OptiFit4 hosel carry over from the Quantum drivers
- Costs less than the Max, leaving budget for a premium shaft
Reasons to think twice
- Robot dispersion was the widest of any top-10 finisher
- Launch and landing angles run lower than other low-spin woods, so slower swings struggle to get it airborne
- Forward CG makes strikes well off center expensive
