Callaway built the REVA Rise 3-wood for women who want the ball in the air without a fight. It does that job well. Expect less help if you like to curve shots or need every last yard.

What's new

REVA Rise is Callaway's 2025 women's line, and this 3-wood comes in 15.5 or 17 degrees with a ladies graphite shaft as stock. Callaway tuned its Ai10x Face using swing data from women golfers, aiming for fast ball speed across more of the face.

Everything about the design points one way: easy launch and as much forgiveness as the head can hold. Value scores 8.1, a fair return for a fairway wood at this tier.

How it plays

Forgiveness carries this club. At 9.1 it sits near the top of its class, and the face keeps ball speed up when a strike misses the center.

Launch comes easily, even off a tight lie or out of light rough. Distance and accuracy both score 7.8, with feel at 7.9, all a notch under the class middle. That fits a head tuned for height over raw yardage.

Where it lacks

Shot shapers will find little here. Workability rates 6.4, near the bottom of its class, and the larger head favors confidence over curving the ball on purpose.

Anyone chasing a low, running flight will not find it in this head, which is built to send the ball up. The 15.5 degree option can also overlap a 5-wood, so check your gapping before picking a loft.

“A 3-wood that gets airborne off the deck with little effort, and forgives the strikes that do not.”
- The Club Stand gear team

Reasons to buy

  • Ai10x Face, tuned with women's swing data, holds ball speed when contact drifts off center
  • Launches easily from fairway grass or light rough, so long second shots get airborne
  • Forgiveness rates 9.1, among the best marks in its class

Reasons to think twice

  • Built for height, so distance sits at a middling 7.8 instead of chasing extra roll
  • Workability rates 6.4, and a confidence-first profile resists shaping shots on purpose
  • A 15.5 degree loft can crowd a 5-wood in some bags
