Callaway built the REVA Rise irons for women who want the ball in the air without working for it. Big heads and a face tuned on women's swing data make them easy to hit. They also cost flagship money.

What's new

REVA Rise is Callaway's women's iron for 2025, released in January and sold as a six-iron through pitching wedge set, with an approach wedge and sand wedge available to add. Every head is oversized. Callaway sets the weight low and builds in offset, which places the face slightly behind the shaft, and both help a ball climb.

Callaway tuned its Ai10x Face on women's swing data, aiming at ball speed, spin and forgiveness. Stock fit pairs a UST Mamiya LIN-Q LTE 45 ladies shaft with a 44-gram Golf Pride REVA Rise grip. On price, this set sits near the top of the iron market.

How it plays

Forgiveness carries this set. At 8.6 it beats every other score REVA Rise earns, and the build explains why: big heads with weight down low keep mishits flying instead of skidding along the ground.

Distance and feel both land at 8, solid marks for irons aimed at moderate swing speeds, and accuracy follows at 7.8. One caution covers all of these numbers. Nobody has robot-tested the women's spec, so the scores lean on Callaway's launch claims and on how the Ai10x face has tested in other heads.

Where it lacks

Workability sits at 6.3, its weakest score. Everything in these heads pushes the ball high and straight. That suits a golfer fighting for height and frustrates one who wants to hit a low punch or curve an approach on purpose.

Value scores 7.2, and it is easy to see why. You pay top-tier money for a set focused on ease, and a base set that stops at pitching wedge can leave a yardage gap unless you add the approach and sand wedges.

“If getting the ball airborne is a struggle, these irons help a lot. You will pay well for that help.”

Reasons to buy

  • Ai10x Face is tuned on women's swing data to protect ball speed and forgiveness across the face
  • Oversized heads with low weight and offset help thin and mishit shots get airborne
  • A lightweight build, down to a 44-gram grip, helps moderate swingers keep clubhead speed up

Reasons to think twice

  • A 6-PW base set can leave a yardage hole before the wedges
  • High-launch, high-speed tuning leaves little room for shaping shots
  • Costs near the top of the market for a set built around ease rather than control
