Stix sells golf clubs the way most people wish they could buy them: one box, every club, one price. The second-generation C02 Compete fills a whole bag for well under half what a comparable name-brand set costs, and it mostly plays like it belongs there.
What's new
This 2026 update covers all 14 slots. You get a carbon fiber and titanium driver with adjustable loft and a Project X Denali Frost shaft, a 16 degree 3-wood, a 21 degree 4-hybrid, 4-PW irons lofted from 22 to 46 degrees, 52, 56 and 60 degree wedges, and a Compete Tech mallet putter in 17-4 steel.
Two changes matter most. Both woods now adjust for loft and lie, and the irons moved to a two-piece hollow body with an AM355P face on steel shafts. Pricing a like-for-like bag from the big brands costs well over twice what Stix charges.
How it plays
Forgiveness leads the scorecard at 8.4, with distance at 8.2 and accuracy at 8.0. Those numbers match what testers found with the irons, which took an award for accuracy and value in a head-to-head of complete sets.
The wedges came out as the best clubs of anything in that test, which is not where you expect a boxed set to shine. Testers called the driver solid and the build quality good, and the value score of 8.3 reflects how much bag you get for the money.
Where it lacks
Feel sits at 7.8 and workability at 6.8. Players who like to shape shots or flight the ball on demand will run into the limits of these heads, and one full review put overall performance as solid rather than elite.
Testers also flagged the driver for a loud, metallic sound at impact, and anyone used to a quieter head will hear the difference on the first swing.
“I would play these wedges in any bag. The rest of the set earns its price.”- The Club Stand gear team
Reasons to buy
- Wedges tested as the best of any complete set, and the irons earned an award for accuracy and value
- Adjustable loft on the driver, plus loft and lie adjustment on the 3-wood and 4-hybrid
- Headcovers and a stand bag come in the box, so nothing else needs buying
Reasons to think twice
- Performance is solid but stops short of elite, so better players will find the ceiling
- Workability scores 6.8, its lowest mark of the six
- The driver makes a loud, metallic sound at impact
