The Full Toe SP joins Callaway's 2026 wedge line and gives short-game players more shot options around the green. Grooves cover the entire face, the Spin Pocket CG is bigger than in either predecessor, and workability is where this wedge scores best.

What's new

Spin Gen 2.0 grooves now run across the full face and add 44 percent of groove area. Behind them, a Spin Pocket CG 18 percent larger than the SP+ version and 35 percent larger than the Opus SP version puts the center of gravity high, and Callaway ties that position to launch.

You can buy it in 54, 56, 58, 60 and 62 degrees, plus a 62 JW, with a J or JW grind. Every head has a milled face, a Dynamic Gold S200 shaft and a TT Icon grip, and wedges sell one at a time. Pre-orders opened on 21 August 2026.

How it plays

Workability scores 9, its strongest number. Because the grooves reach the toe, a laid-open face still has groove behind the ball, so high soft shots and lower checking ones come from the same club.

Feel comes in at 8.6, and forgiveness holds at 8.4, a solid return for a wedge built around shotmaking. Accuracy (8.2) and distance (8.0) are respectable without standing out, so most of the payoff shows up in shot variety.

Where it lacks

Value scores 7.8, lower than any other category. Callaway prices each wedge separately, and building out two or three lofts adds up fast.

Fitting options are thin. You get two grinds, one stock shaft, and nothing below 54 degrees. A gap wedge or a different sole shape means buying another model.

“With grooves all the way out to the toe, you can open it up and still trust the spin.”

Reasons to buy

  • Workability tops the scorecard at 9, so open-face and low-spinning shots both come easily
  • Spin Gen 2.0 grooves run across the full face for 44 percent more groove area
  • Feel rates 8.6 off a milled face, with forgiveness close behind at 8.4

Reasons to think twice

  • Value lands lowest on the card at 7.8, and each wedge is sold individually
  • Only two grinds, J and JW, so the sole choice is narrow
  • Lofts start at 54 degrees, so there is no gap wedge option in this model
