Edel opened pre-orders for its milled E-T01 zero-torque putter in November 2025. The first run sold out on its initial drop. Testing tells a split story: excellent from long range, ordinary from the middle distances.
What's new
The E-T01 is Edel's take on a zero-torque putter, a design built to keep the face from twisting open or shut as you stroke it. Edel mills the head from steel and finishes it in black, so it looks the part of a premium build.
It launched as a limited first release, with pre-orders opening on 12 November 2025. That run sold out on the initial drop, and Edel prices it as a premium putter rather than a budget zero-torque option.
How it plays
Give it a long putt and the E-T01 earns its money. A 26-putter zero-torque comparison gave it a long-range PuttView figure of -8.7, and on that scale a more negative number means better results. Its short-putt figure of -6.6 is solid too, and our distance score of 8.5 reflects how well it controls pace.
Accuracy and feel each score 8.3, and forgiveness comes in at 8. A milled face and a stable head make for a putter that behaves predictably on most strokes, even if it never dazzles.
Where it lacks
Medium-length putts expose it. A -2.6 from that range was weak enough to pull its overall figure to -6.1, which ranked 17th of 26 in testing. A putter at this price should place higher.
Getting one takes patience as well. Pre-order waits came with the first release, retail availability is thin, and the 7.6 workability score suggests anyone who likes to manipulate the face will find it stubborn.
“Lag putting with it, I would bet my round. From mid-range, I would want a second opinion.”- The Club Stand gear team
Reasons to buy
- Long putts are its strength, with a PuttView figure of -8.7 from distance in a 26-putter zero-torque test
- A black-finished, milled steel head gives it a premium look and feel at address
- Scores 8.5 for distance control and 8.3 for both accuracy and feel
Reasons to think twice
- Medium-length putts dragged it down to -2.6, which left it 17th of 26 overall
- Costs premium money for a putter that finished mid-pack in head-to-head testing
- First-release stock sold out fast, so buyers face pre-order waits and few shops carry it
