TaylorMade rebuilt the Spider Tour family in June 2026 and added two new heads. The F is a high-MOI mallet that lets you pick your neck, and nothing it does rates higher than its 8.7 for forgiveness.
What's new
Spider Tour F is one of two new designs in the relaunched Spider Tour line, alongside the V. Every model wears a torched PVD finish inspired by Rory McIlroy, and every model sells at one premium price.
The F head puts its center of gravity 22 mm behind the leading edge, a fairly forward position for a mallet. You choose between an L-neck with 33 degrees of toe hang, right-handed only, or a face-balanced double bend offered for both hands. A white TPU Pure Roll insert and a single sight line finish the build.
How it plays
Forgiveness is its strongest number at 8.7, and accuracy follows at 8.6. Those scores reflect a high-MOI head that keeps off-center strikes from twisting it, so a sloppy stroke still starts the ball near its line.
Feel rates 8.2, and the soft insert produces a quiet, muted click rather than a sharp one. Distance control scores 8.3. Workability trails at 7.8, which matters less on a putter like this, though players who manipulate the face will notice it resists them.
Where it lacks
The shape is new, and a single sight line on an unfamiliar head can take a round or two before you stop second-guessing your aim. Some players also feel less settled over the forward-CG F than over the bigger Spider Tour X.
Cost also gets in the way. TaylorMade charges premium Spider money for every Spider Tour model, so the F gets no discount for being the smaller head. Value scores 8.2.
“Match the hosel to how you putt and this Spider stays steady even on your worst strokes.”- The Club Stand gear team
Reasons to buy
- Forgiveness scores 8.7 and accuracy 8.6, so mishits stay quiet and putts hold their line
- One head comes in two hosels: an L-neck for an arcing stroke or a face-balanced double bend for a straight one
- A soft white Pure Roll insert keeps impact muted without going mushy
Reasons to think twice
- This is a new shape, and trusting the alignment takes a round or two
- Some players read the forward CG as less stable than the bigger Spider Tour X mallet
- Priced level with every other Spider Tour model, up in the top putter tier
