Void built the Goliath Centerfire to be the steadiest putter in its line, and from long range it delivers. Move closer to the hole and the story turns, which explains a finish near the bottom of a 26-putter test.

What's new

The Goliath Centerfire is Void's big zero-torque mallet, released in May 2025. A milled steel head in black sits under a shaft that enters at the center of the head.

Of everything Void sells, this model leans hardest toward stability. A value score of 8.3 says the asking price holds up, provided the putts you care about are long ones.

How it plays

From distance the Goliath is excellent. In a 26-putter zero-torque test it posted the third best long-putt result, a PuttView figure of -10.2, and its distance score of 9.7 is the highest number on its card.

Feel scores 7.8. One owner on a forum thread saw his stroke count fall from 34.3 to 33.6 and called it a reliable weapon, a fair description of a putter built to keep the face from rotating.

Where it lacks

Shorter putts expose it. The Goliath ranked second worst of the 26 on short putts at -4.3 and last of all on medium putts at -0.6, and accuracy scores just 6.4.

Those two ranges drag it down to 24th of 26 overall, with an overall PuttView figure of -4.8. Forgiveness and workability both sit at 6.8, so it offers little help when a stroke drifts.

“On a long lag I want it in my hands. Over a short one, I would reach for something else.”

Reasons to buy

  • Third best long-putt result in a 26-putter zero-torque test, with a PuttView figure of -10.2
  • Void builds it as the most stable head in its lineup, so the face stays quiet through the stroke
  • One owner reports his stroke count falling from 34.3 to 33.6 and calls it a reliable weapon

Reasons to think twice

  • Ranked 24th of 26 in the zero-torque test, posting an overall PuttView figure of -4.8
  • Worst medium-putt result in the test at -0.6, so mid-range speed control suffers
  • Short putts rank second worst of the 26, a hard flaw on the putts players most expect to hole
